We suggest arriving for a late dinner, let rush hour move out of downtown. And don’t let parking scare you, there are plenty of options available, including parking ramps, valet, and on street parking (which is rare to find). So plan accordingly and bring a few bucks or plan accordingly with Cap Metro. The great thing is that once you grab a spot, you can spend the rest of the evening on your feet without having to worry about your vehicle.

Bangers Sausage House Rainey Street IBIZ DistrictOur dinner picks:

Bangers Sausage House and Beer Garden: At the end of the day Banger’s is all about being a wonderful place to eat, drink and hangout. Not too rowdy, not too laid back, just a good old fashioned good time. We love their sausages, and they have 30 varieties, all handmade right at the restaurant. Our favorite is the Turducken, a combination of turkey, duck & chicken!

El Naranjo: serves delicious traditional Mexican food. They create savory salsas, moles and other Mexican specialties with great concern to create pleasing, balanced flavors. Not only that, but they bake our own bread and make our own corn tortillas with non-GMO Heirloom Mexican corn. Delicious and healthy! Because you have a packed night ahead of you, we recommend the TACOS DE PESCADO, aka Mahi Mahi tacos, to keep it light and refreshing,

After dinner, stroll the street, we recommend a grown-up patio bar hop to experience the flavor of each unique venue. Like creative cocktails, check out Javelina. Prefer craft beer? Have a refreshing one at Craft Pride. Or perhaps you might like to cool off at Container Bar, enjoy the breeze from the rooftop and people watch the crowd below.

Top it all off with a late night bite. The district is filled with world class food trailers. Our favorites:

Via313 Detroit Style Pizza, a deep dish pan with your favorite toppings with cheese melted all the way to the crust.

Art of Tacos. In a city that makes tacos a fifth food group, Art of Tacos allows you to “paint” your own taco as you chose your canvas, palette, and paint, aka, base, meat, and toppings. So if you have a strange late night craving, they will cater to your desires.

With over 20 locally owned bars and restaurants, and the ability to walk from bar to bar, Rainey Street is sure to delight every foodie and nightlife lover out there. Austin IBIZ. Shop Local. Eat Local. Drink Local.
